10 Years

10 Years! I can hardly believe it. For 10 years, a simple blog post has appeared every Monday morning. Not one post missed in all that time. Where has the time gone and how did I get here?

I have shared simple lessons about faith. I have wrestled with the challenges of mental and spiritual wellbeing. I have been vulnerable. I have grown but most importantly I have been faithful.

This blog started because God nudged me. He nudged me for a year and a half before I responded. He would remind me that my journey through sexual abuse to wholeness needs to be shared. He would remind me that my struggles would help others see that they are not alone. I would be completely dry not knowing what to write or share. Faithfully, He would bring inspiration, direction and guidance.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
    bind them around your neck,
    write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name
    in the sight of God and man. (Proverbs 3:3-4 NIV)

1 Not to us, Lord, not to us
    but to your name be the glory,
    because of your love and faithfulness.
(Psalm 115:1 NIV)

While I am proud of myself for sticking with this, It is God’s faithfulness that has carried me through these years. Writing is not something I enjoy, but it is something I have felt called to. Each week as I write, I ask God for His words and that the words would reach the eyes of the person that needs them. To God be the glory. He is faithful in all things. 10 years started with one step forward filled with a lot of reservations and doubts.

What is God calling you to do? Do you wrestle with faithfulness? Do you question your ability to complete the call? How have you seen faithfulness at work? Share your experience here and breathe life and bring hope to others.
